To cheer me up after my completely horrid day, my wonderful fiancé took me to the bookstore where he works and took me book shopping— again! (I knew there was a reason I decided to marry this boy!) And yeah, since he works there and has the mad crazy hook up, he got everything outrageously, awesomely priced— score!!
Because pretty much nothing makes me happier than coming home with a stack of new books. ♥
In the past few weeks I think I’ve added something like twenty-five to thirty new titles to my collection, and I’m insanely happy about all of them; if you’re a book freak like me, read on.. if not, feel free to skip this post! ;)

The only thing I will say, is that I have never before read any of them— and for some of those on my list that are classic to the point of idolatry, I’m almost a bit ashamed of that fact. But, the cool thing is that I now own them all, and can happily take the time to explore them. ♥
Umm, so I think I may need a Top Chef intervention.. Phil and I came home earlier with some KFC for dinner, and as we’re sitting down (ironically to start watching season 3 of Top Chef!) I bit into a biscuit and immediately commented, “mm, it’s slightly overcooked, I would have liked to see a bit less of a crust on it..”
Hang in there, I really hope you get good news in June. It sounds very scary, I hope you have someone with you to help you through the waiting process. xxx
Thank you, I really appreciate that!!
The one good thing about all of this is the fact that I do have a lot of wonderful people standing by me through it; my family, my fiancé, and my friends have all been amazing and have given me endless love and support. I even find it in unexpected places, like here on tumblr— I love all of you, too. ♥♥
“eatdistortion replied to your post: I got to pick out books for my birthday!! Awwh! That’s the most fun ever! For our anniversary, my fiance took me to the bookstore where he works and handed me a gift card and told me to go wild, haha! FUN STUFF! :D”
Aw, that’s sweet! I love when people buy me books. I’m more greedy when I have other people offering. Lol. When it’s just my money, I’m a little more cautious.
HAHA, I know that feeling!! ;)
When it’s just my money, I agonize for HOURS over which books I want to buy— but if someone else is electing to pay, suddenly it’s “well, I’ve always sort of been slightly interested in possibly reading that book someday— PUT IT IN THE CART!” :D
Hi there :) I just wanted to say thanks- you always make an effort to write a lovely comment on my text posts. Makes me feel noticed and like someone cares. You're wonderful ♥
Thank you so much!! I try to be supportive toward people who may be going through similar situations/experiences that I have been through before; I know that I could never have made it through all of the things that I have without the wonderful people that I met and who helped me along the way— the least I can do is to try to do the same for others!! ♥
